From a young age Katie always knew her life was going to involve helping people. She thrives on the gratification of seeing her clients’ lives change through improvement in their pain, function, mental state, fitness and overall wellbeing. She has always had a love for sports and fitness. After finishing her Bachelor of Exercise Science Katie then went on to fulfil her passion in health and completed a Masters in Physiotherapy. Working along the east coast of Australia Katie was able to hone her skills and gain the knowledge and expertise she delivers today in her treatments and pilates sessions.
Katie believes that pain does not only have a physical element but also a mental one too, and feels that for effective treatment and outcomes one must look at the entire body. She finds that holistic therapies and muscle rehabilitation works wonders for chronic musculoskeletal conditions, as the body as a whole is addressed and treated.
Katie has always had an interest in natural therapies and went on to do her Masters in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture at RMIT University in Melbourne. She feels that acupuncture is a wonderful adjunct to physiotherapy and allows her treatments to be holistic in nature and also allows the combination of both an Eastern and Western approach. Katie not only treats musculoskeletal conditions with Traditional Chinese Acupuncture but also sinusitis, infertility, arthritis, migraines/headaches, digestive problems, insomnia, depression/anxiety, common cold, pregnancy (pain/breached foetus/induction), menopause, skin conditions, PMS/period pain/irregular periods.

Elle is an AHPRA registered Physiotherapist with post graduate qualifications in Mechanical Diagnostic therapy for spinal conditions and Women’s and Men’s health and Continence (PostGradCert-pelvic floor rehabilitation).
She has specific skills in the diagnosis, treatment and management of pelvic floor dysfunction and complex pelvic health conditions including pelvic pain, vulvodynia, dyspareunia, Male, Female and Childhood urinary and fecal incontinence and female pelvic organ prolapse.
Elle has an understanding that talking about pelvic health issues can be difficult, which is why she prides herself on establishing rapport with patients so that they feel comfortable, understood and supported in sharing about their conditions.
Elle is highly skilled in clinical pilates including pelvic floor pilates, pilates for patients with cancer or in remission and fitness pilates.
Elle believes that supporting and encouraging Women to exercise safely and healthy during their pregnancy and recovery is essential for women to maintain their health and wellbeing. Elle prides herself on a high level of expertise in this area, including antenatal and postnatal pilates and exercise programs that are pelvic floor safe and designed specifically for the pregnant and postnatal recovering women.
Elle is also highly skilled in the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic spinal pain (neck, upper-mid back and lower back) and can also manage the many aches and pain that can occur during pregnancy and during the postnatal period (pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain, low back pain, upper back pain, coccyx pain and upper limb and lower limb pains).
Katherine was first introduced to Pilates after moving from Brisbane to Sydney in 1999 and since then has progressed from attending classes, to becoming a Polestar Pilates Mentor and Educator. Polestar Pilates is considered one of the leading Pilates educational bodies in the world.
Katherine’s Pilates qualifications include being Certified in Mat, Allegro and Studio disciplines, as well as holding a Diploma in Pilates Instruction. She has an impressive continuing education folio and holds an Advanced First Aid Certificate. Katherine also holds Level 2 membership with The Pilates Alliance Australia, the professional association for Pilates.
Her educational background includes completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Physiology and Genetics. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology through the University of New England, with excellent results.
Katherine finds that Pilates is a great marriage between the discipline, control and creativity of ballet and the solid foundation of science, and believes that the principles of Pilates can easily be transferred to everyday activities.
Katherine has two children, and since moving back to Queensland in 2007, has particularly enjoyed seeing how her clients not only use Pilates to complement their sports, health and rehabilitation regimes, but also to prevent injuries and improve overall body performance.
Kat is a member of The Pilates Alliance Australasia, the professional association for Pilates.
Tahja first experienced Pilates in 1995 at National Capital Ballet School as part of the intensive dance program. The program was devised by Janet Karen OAM, a former Australian Ballet soloist and developer of The Karen Method. Pilates was integrated into the program as a warm-up and injury prevention class.
After experiencing a number of different movement disciplines such as Classical Ballet, Gymnastics, Jazz and Contemporary she moved into fitness, completing certification and was a gym and aerobics instructor for a number of years.
In 2000 Tahja began training to be a Pilates Instructor with Michael King (UK) becoming certified in Matwork and Reformer. From there she gained work at City Centre Physiotherapy and Dance Injury Clinic in Brisbane under Linda Lewis Mpthy. Linda first brought Pilates to Brisbane. Here Tahja received further in house training from Solita Sabthai, who was in turn trained by Romana Kryzanowska a student of Joseph Pilates himself.
Tahja has also completed a Diploma in Fashion and had her own eco-clothing label stocked nationally. Tahja found her way back to Pilates in 2009 by completing a Diploma of Professional Pilates Practice in Melbourne and teaching there for a few years.
Tahja is a member of The Pilates Alliance Australasia, the professional association for Pilates. She continues a broad range of workshops and classes to stay up to date with all the latest research and plans to complete the Adv Diploma In Pilates Practice.
Tahja believes in increasing your mind body connection and enjoying the freedom of movement.
Eliza first fell in love with Pilates in early 2014, after seeing major improvements in a family member who was recovering from injury. Eliza’s approach to Pilates is constantly developing as she strives to find new ways for people to integrate movement and wellbeing into their everyday lives, in a way that is sustainable and fun!
Eliza’s keen interest in Pilates is based upon a Bachelor of Exercise Science, which she completed in 2014. Eliza has extended her qualifications and training by studying the Diploma Of Polestar Pilates Studio and Rehabilitation Method with a focus on prevention, strengthening, and rehabilitation.
Eliza enjoys an active lifestyle on the Gold Coast and loves being outdoors in the sun – which is a big change from growing up in Tasmania! Eliza also likes to attend a range of Pilates classes both at home and when travelling, in order to keep on top of new techniques and experience a variety of instructors.
Lisa has always lived an active lifestyle of dance, sport and being outdoors. This fueled her passion for movement and integration of strength and mobility. Lisa was introduced to Pilates after suffering from a back injury eight years ago and has been a client since.
Lisa commenced her work with the human body when she studied her Certificate IV of Massage Therapy in 2013. In 2014 she started her journey as a Pilates Instructor when she studied the Diploma Of Polestar Pilates Studio and Rehabilitation Method.
In her teaching, Lisa strives to educate her clients on proper movement patterns that they can adapt into their everyday lifestyle.
